I have read through Maguro Teikoku's Island series, and I can't really say I have understood it.In no specific order and there are many more questions:
What was the point of the detective?
Is there are any deeper meaning behind the numbering (REIko, HITOmi, FUTAba, MIsato, SHIori, ITSUki, ROKUrou, NANAse)?
Why is there any point in the eight of them being together in the same place?
Why is Shiori first a miko and then a nun?
Why does Itsuki "lose" her piercings?
It's pretty much clear the other characters are opposed to HitomiXRokurou, but why are the two of them in a truck somewhere in a desert in the end?
The last few pages reminded me almost of SZS's Kafuka, just the other way round. What the hell was that?
Going by the diary Hitomi was originally pretty much Rokurou's sex slave that ended up loving him. But what happened to Hitomi's child? She was pregnant before the happenings of the series.
What's the point of the theatre and Mask-Rokurou?
What is it with Rokurou's "Uh, a dream?" moments every second page?
I'm at a total loss as far as this series goes.
